TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Believing in the importance of promoting the music language, Ms. Mahyar started her first teaching experience as a Piano instructor upon receiving her Piano Teaching Certificate from Iran’s Ministry Of Culture in Isfahan. Later she became the Co-director of the “Avaz” Piano and Voice Recital Series in her hometown. Moving to other countries, Ms. Mahyar continued with her teaching activities In Yerevan- Armenia, where she actively worked as a freelance piano and music theory teacher. In addition, the Assistant Conducting position at Tchaikovsky Music School of Yerevan gave her enormous opportunities to interact with young music students, both as a conductor and teacher. As a graduated Teaching Assistant from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Ms. Mahyar has invaluable experience in teaching basic conducting classes. Further, she expanded her teaching activities in composition and music production areas serving as a mentor artist at Northampton Youth Art and Music Festival for two seasons. Currently, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at MSU, Ms. Mahyar is advancing her academic teaching experiences at the graduate level.
